Noema Care

At Noema Care, therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to help you move toward what truly matters. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or ready to break free from old patterns, I’m here to help you explore what’s in the way and what’s possible.

Located in Toronto’s West End, in Roncesvalles, I offer both in-person and online sessions:

  • Individual Therapy: Tailored to your needs, helping you navigate life’s challenges, from anxiety and burnout to personal growth.

  • Couples Therapy: Strengthening communication, reconnection, and partnership.

  • Group Therapy: A safe, supportive space to connect with others and share experiences. Online only.

  • Neurofeedback Therapy: A brain-based approach that helps your nervous system find balance and calm.

I work with people who are self-aware, thoughtful, and often good at managing life on the outside — but underneath, something feels off. You might be dealing with stress, transitions, burnout, or feeling stuck in old patterns.

Approach

I’m not the kind of therapist who just nods or overanalyzes. I’m curious: What matters most to you? What feels off? What’s the story your body is holding that your brain hasn’t caught up to yet?

Some weeks we’ll talk things through. Other times, we might tune into what your body is holding. I draw from evidence-based tools like CBT, mindfulness, and somatic therapies — and I also offer neurofeedback, a brain-based approach that helps your nervous system shift toward more balance and calm.

Therapy with me is collaborative and authentic. We might laugh, untangle a looping thought, slow down and notice something in your body, or sit with something hard — together.

You can read more about my training and approach here.

Measurement-Based Care

I use a measurement-based approach to track how you’re doing over time — not in a clinical way, but to make sure therapy is actually helping in the ways you want it to. This lets us check in regularly about what’s working (and what’s not), and adjust our approach. You can choose not to opt-in, but if you do, you’ll have access to your own data and can view your progress too.

Why “Noēma”?

Noēma (pronounced no-AY-muh) is a Greek word that roughly means “what is thought” — not just the thought itself, but the meaning behind it. It comes from phenomenology (yes, a bit of a deep cut), where it refers to the thing we’re conscious of the felt meaning behind our experiences, not just the surface-level stuff.

I chose this name because therapy, for me, is about more than just changing behaviours. It’s about slowing down enough to notice what’s underneath — the patterns, beliefs, and emotions shaping how you move through the world — and reconnecting with what actually feels true and important to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can start by reaching out through the contact form or emailing me directly. I’ll follow up to schedule a free 15-20 minute phone consult so we can talk briefly about what you’re looking for and see if it feels like a good fit. If it does, we’ll set up your first session and I’ll walk you through the rest from there.

  • We’ll start by talking about what’s bringing you in — no need to prepare. I’ll ask some questions, but mostly, it’s about getting to know you and seeing if this feels like a good fit. You can go at your own pace and if you don’t want to talk about something you don’t need to.

  • Not at all. Some people come in with something specific they want to work on, others might feel somethings off, or they want to explore themselves. Part of our work can be figuring out what matters most to you and where you’d like to go from there.

  • Most people start with weekly 50-minute sessions. We can adjust the frequency depending on your needs, schedule, and goals.

  • Sessions are available via secure video (telehealth), and in-person depending on availability. I aim to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and collaborative — wherever we’re meeting.

  • You can view my rates here. Most private insurance companies have some type of mental health coverage. Please check yours for details. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots — feel free to ask about availability.

  • Therapy can bring up tough stuff, and sometimes it gets a little harder before it gets better. It’s normal to feel a bit vulnerable or unsettled as you explore deep feelings or past experiences. The goal is always to move through that discomfort in a way that feels manageable and supportive. If anything comes up that feels too overwhelming, we’ll slow down, adjust, or find ways to ground you. It’s all about creating space for growth, not pushing you into it too fast.

  • Totally fair. Not all therapy fits all people, and not all therapists are right for you. If something didn’t work for you in the past, we can talk about it — no judgment. My job is to create a space that actually works for you.
