What Is Group Therapy?

Group therapy is a space where a small number of people—usually 4 to 6—meet with a therapist to explore shared experiences, learn new tools, and support one another.

Each group here blends practical, evidence-based strategies with honest conversation. You’ll show up alongside the same folks each week, which helps build connection and trust. It’s not about spilling everything or being “on”—it’s about showing up as you are, with room to learn and reflect.

Why Group Therapy?

There’s something powerful about being in a space where people are sharing and listening to each other to offer support.

Whether you’re navigating burnout, ADHD, or chronic illness, group therapy offers:

  • A sense of community – You’re not the only one dealing with this.

  • Shared learning – Hear how others are handling things, and share what’s worked for you.

  • Practical tools – Each session includes strategies you can take with you.

  • Accountability and structure – The rhythm of weekly sessions helps build momentum.

  • A more affordable option – At $50 per session, groups offer a lower-cost way to access support.

Many people find that group therapy feels just as meaningful—and sometimes more impactful—than one-on-one sessions.

FAQs

Do I have to talk or share a lot?

Not at all. You’re always in control of how much you share. You’ll never be put on the spot.

What if I miss a session?

Because each group is small and builds week-to-week, attendance at all sessions is expected. Missed sessions will incur a no-show fee unless there’s an emergency.

Will the group be the same people each week?

Yes. These aren’t drop-in groups—each cohort includes the same 4–6 participants throughout, so there’s time to build connection and trust.

Can I use insurance?

Each session is $50 and can be reimbursed by most private insurance plans.

Do I need to be in individual therapy to join?

Not necessarily. Some people are in both; others use groups as their main source of support. We’ll discuss what the right support for you is during the initial intake.

How do I sign up?
