Relationship Counselling

You Care About Each Other. But Something’s Not Working.

Whether you’re feeling stuck, disconnected, or unsure where things stand, couples therapy can help you untangle what’s not working and find your way back to each other.

Services Offered

Connection doesn’t have to be this hard.

Relationships can be some of the most meaningful — and most complicated — parts of life. Whether you’re navigating conflict, communication struggles, big transitions, or just feeling disconnected, relationship therapy creates space for honest conversations, new tools, and deeper understanding between you and the people you are in relationships with.

LGBTQ+ & non-monogamy affirming. In-Person in Toronto’s West End (Roncy) or Online.

A Little About Me

I work with couples navigating all kinds of questions—how to communicate better, how to stay connected through stress, how to repair after conflict, or even whether they want to stay together at all. I bring a warm, curious presence to our sessions, along with training in Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Discernment Counseling. I also support polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships, and I create space for each person to feel heard without judgment. Whether things feel tense, distant, or just confusing, I help couples slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and figure out what comes next—together. You can learn more here.

Couples I Work With Often Are:

  • Stuck in the same fights and unsure how to move forward

  • Struggling to feel close again after a rupture or conflict

  • Feeling distant or “off” but still care deeply

  • Considering whether to stay or separate

  • Wanting to improve communication and intimacy

When connection feels hard, therapy can help.

Relationships aren’t always easy—especially when stress, miscommunication, or big life shifts start to pile up. Whether you're feeling stuck in the same arguments, wondering if you’ve grown apart, or trying to navigate different needs, couples therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect.

I work with couples in all stages—dating, long-term, newly committed, married, or figuring things out. I also welcome polyamorous and non-monogamous relationships, and offer support that’s non-judgmental, curious, and grounded in real tools.

What You Can Expect

A thoughtful, down-to-earth approach
I bring both structure and flexibility to each session, drawing from Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Discernment Counseling—depending on what fits you best.

Space for each of you to feel heard
Couples therapy isn’t about taking sides. It’s about creating space to slow down, get clear on what’s really happening, and start building something different together.

Tools for communication
We’ll work on communication, trust, boundaries, emotional safety, and whatever else is getting in the way of the connection you want.

A Note on Discernment Counseling

If you're not sure whether you want to stay together or not, I offer Discernment Counseling—a short-term process designed to help couples get clarity about their next steps, without pressure or assumption.

FAQs

  • I work with many types of couples — queer and straight, monogamous and non-monogamous, brand new or long-established. If you're both willing to show up and be curious about what’s happening between you, you're in the right place.

  • Couples come in for all sorts of reasons: communication issues, feeling disconnected, navigating big transitions (like kids or moves), recovering from breaches of trust, exploring non-monogamy, or even figuring out whether to stay together. It’s all welcome here.

  • I use evidence-based models like EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) and the Gottman Method. That means we’ll focus on strengthening emotional connection, understanding your patterns, and building skills that actually help — not just talking in circles.

  • That’s okay. I also offer discernment counseling — a short-term process for couples on the brink of separation who want clarity before making big decisions. It’s not about fixing things quickly; it’s about slowing down and understanding what each person really wants.

  • There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Some couples come for a few sessions to tune things up, others stick around longer to work through deeper patterns. We'll check in regularly about how things are going and what feels helpful.

  • Couples sessions are typically 50 minutes, though longer sessions (75–minutes) can be helpful, especially at the beginning. Most couples start weekly or biweekly — we’ll find a rhythm that fits your life and what you're working on.

  • Sessions are billed after each appointment. I provide receipts you can submit to your insurance provider if your plan covers therapy with a Registered Psychotherapist. I accept credit cards via an online payment system.

  • Often, yes — many extended health plans cover therapy with a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). It’s a good idea to check your plan for the details. I’m happy to answer any questions if you're unsure what to look for.
