Noema Care

Because feeling “fine” isn’t the same as feeling fulfilled.

Noema Care is a warm, collaborative therapy practice based in Toronto’s West End, serving individuals and couples in Parkdale, Roncesvalles, and High Park, as well as clients across Ontario online.

Many of our clients are thoughtful, capable people who are doing okay on the outside—but underneath, something feels off. Maybe you're burnt out, stuck in old patterns, overwhelmed by anxiety, or going through a big transition. You might be struggling with chronic pain or illness. Therapy can be a place to slow down, make sense of it all, and feel more connected to yourself again.

Our Approach

We’re not the kind of therapists who sit back, nod, and let you guess what we’re thinking. Our therapists stay deeply curious: What feels meaningful for you right now? What’s not lining up? What’s your body holding that your brain keeps trying to outrun?

Some sessions will be talk-based. Others might include somatic work, grounding, or tuning into the patterns your nervous system has learned over time. As a team, we use evidence-based tools like CBT, mindfulness, relational and attachment-based approaches, and somatic therapies. Each clinician brings their own lens and experience.

Therapy with us is collaborative, authentic, and grounded. We’ll explore patterns together, provide insights and tools, or hold space for the harder moments — always at your pace.

Measurement-Based Care

I use a measurement-based approach to track how you’re doing over time — not in a clinical way, but to make sure therapy is actually helping in the ways you want it to. This lets us check in regularly about what’s working (and what’s not), and adjust our approach. You can choose not to opt-in, but if you do, you’ll have access to your own data and can view your progress too.

Why “Noēma”?

Noēma (pronounced no-AY-muh) Noema comes from philosophy and refers to the meaning behind an experience—not just what happened, but how we make sense of it.

In therapy, that’s exactly what we do. We explore the “why” behind the patterns, emotions, and beliefs that show up in your life. Not to overanalyze—but to understand. So you can respond with more choice, instead of reacting on autopilot.

Noema is about getting clearer on your inner world, so you can live with more intention in your outer one.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • You can start by reaching out through the contact form or emailing me directly. I’ll follow up to schedule a free 15-20 minute phone consult so we can talk briefly about what you’re looking for and see if it feels like a good fit. If it does, we’ll set up your first session and I’ll walk you through the rest from there.

  • We’ll start by talking about what’s bringing you in — no need to prepare. I’ll ask some questions, but mostly, it’s about getting to know you and seeing if this feels like a good fit. You can go at your own pace and if you don’t want to talk about something you don’t need to. You can learn more here.

  • Not at all. Some people come in with something specific they want to work on, others might feel somethings off, or they want to explore themselves. Part of our work can be figuring out what matters most to you and where you’d like to go from there.

  • Most people start with weekly 50-minute sessions. We can adjust the frequency depending on your needs, schedule, and goals.

  • Sessions are available via secure video (telehealth), and in-person depending on availability. I aim to create a space that feels safe, grounded, and collaborative — wherever we’re meeting.

  • You can view my rates here. Most private insurance companies have some type of mental health coverage. Please check yours for details. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots — feel free to ask about availability.

  • Therapy can bring up tough stuff, and sometimes it gets a little harder before it gets better. It’s normal to feel a bit vulnerable or unsettled as you explore deep feelings or past experiences. The goal is always to move through that discomfort in a way that feels manageable and supportive. If anything comes up that feels too overwhelming, we’ll slow down, adjust, or find ways to ground you. It’s all about creating space for growth, not pushing you into it too fast.

  • Totally fair. Not all therapy fits all people, and not all therapists are right for you. If something didn’t work for you in the past, we can talk about it — no judgment. My job is to create a space that actually works for you.
